So, I have thoroughly neglected this little blog of mine! I was just looking at it and realized that I did not post a SINGLE entry in the entire year of 2016! I guess that I just ran out of things to say... NOT! I am a woman and scientists say that we speak about 20,000 words a day! I guess I just stopped posting, because I didn't really have anything interesting to post about!
So, what can I say about 2016... it went quickly?
-My hubbins and I celebrated our 13 wedding anniversary in February and our 17th anniversary of being together in December!
-My kids finished one year of school (4th and 1st) and started another (5th and 2nd).
-That's another thing... my daughter is in her last year of elementary school! I am freaking out a bit and trying to come to terms with the fact that next year she will be in junior high! Ack! Ok, so I have a whole 9 months until this school year will be over and summer will pass until I have to worry about that. I mean, come on Heidi, calm your roll... it's only January 1st. But for reals.... junior high, people! (INSERT SCREAM HERE!)
-My daughter turned 10 in May and my son turned 7 in June!
-We took a family vacation to Utah in July. It was amazing. We got to spend lots of time together. Our family came from Washington, Arizona and California to spend a week at the family cabin!
-I started art journaling more and than quit again. I have lost my art mojo. I'm not sure where it went! I draw a blank on what to do. I get super excited when I discover a new style, but I have yet to figure out what mine is!
-I LOVE watching YouTube tutorials on art journaling or mixed media. I discovered Mixed Media Jen and Ali Brown, two of my favorites!
-I turned 39 in July, 2016! Yep, that means that the BIG 4-0 is this year! To be honest, I have never really cared about my age, but this year, it feels like turning 40 is something to be celebrated!
-I
volunteer every day at school, because my son has the most amazing
teacher (the same teacher that my daughter had for second grade)!
I am sure that there was so much more that happened, but those are the highlights that I can remember!
So, I just wanted to say, Happy New Year! May 2017 brings all of us many blessings!
I received this in an email today and I thought it was perfect to start off this new year!
