If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why?

Blogging Challenge Day 19: If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why?

I actually love where I live. Don't get me wrong, I hate the heat, but other than that, the Coachella Valley is a beautiful place to live. I wish that we owned our own house and some property.  My parents live here, so they are close and my kids get to see them all the time. My mother-in-law is only one state over, so we see her often also. I wish that my sister and her family were closer.

I guess if I had to choose somewhere else to live, it might be Arizona mountains or Utah. My husband's step-dad owns a cabin in Utah and it is absolutely beautiful there. But being born and raised a California girl, I know for sure that I couldn't handle to snow. Too much for me. I get cold way too easily! Sad, but true!  Earlier this year, we took the kids to Idyllwild to play in the snow. It was only in the high 40s and Eric and I were freezing our butts off! We are totally desert rats, through and through! LOL!

Happy birthday!

Today is my birthday! I am 35 years young! LOL!

Age has always been a number to me and has never really mattered. Now, I am in my mid 30s! Oh My Gosh! Just kidding!  I think my age affects me more as I see my kids getting older!  Now, I totally know how my parents felt seeing my sister and I grow up!

Today is also my brother-in-law's birthday. He is 37 today. Happy Birthday, James!

Happy birthday to Kevin Bacon, Angelica Huston, Wolfgang Puck and Beck (the singer) also!  Those are my famous birthday twins!

What TV show are you embarrassed about watching?

Blogging Challenge Day 18: What TV show are you embarrassed about watching?

Ok, I openly admit that I am a TVaholic! I watch a lot of tv.  Tv is my way of relaxing.  I watch everything from CSI to NCIS to Bones to Private Practice and Grey's Anatomy.  I have a very diverse taste in my tv shows.  But there are a few that can kind of cringe when I admit that I watch. I don't watch them all the time, but I do every once in a while. And the funny thing is, they are all E! Channel shows!  Keeping up with the Kardashians and Ice Loves Coco.  There, I said it! LOL! Most of the time, the Kardashians drive me crazy, but I get sucked in to watching them.  Now, as for Ice Loves Coco, I really do like that show. I might  not agree with all that Coco does, but I love the relationship that her and Ice have. They are truly devoted to each other. Anyways, those are my guilty pleasures! ;)

What is the thing you most wish you were great at?

Blogging Challenge Day 17: What is the thing you most wish you were great at?

To be honest, I wish that I was a better Christian! I love God and I go to church, but it is a struggle to witness to my family and friends.  I was raised in the church and have been around it my whole life. I am so blessed to have found a wonderful home church that I can raise my kids in.

What are your 5 greatest accomplishments?

Blogging Challenge Day 16: What are your 5 greatest accomplishments?

1. Honor Roll:  I am proud to say that I was on honor roll, all four years of high school, except for one quarter, stupid geometry! I was a total geek and am proud to say that! But on a good side note, I was able to get academic scholarships for college, because of my good grades!  I was also on the Who's Who's List in high school, which goes hand in hand with being on the honor roll!

2. Going to college: After I graduated from high school, I attended Biola University in the fall of 1995.  It was my first time being away from home and I LOVED it! LOL! Don't get me wrong, I totally missed my parents and my friends at home, but I got to experience so much living in a dorm. I think that I grew up so much my freshman year. My horizons were totally broadened!  Even though I couldn't afford to finish my degree, I cherish my college years!

3. Getting married: I am so blessed to be married to such a wonderful guy!  I didn't date in high school or college. And after having to quit college, move back home to work and suffering through a HORRIBLE relationship, I didn't know if it would ever happen for me.  It took me working at Walmart, to meet Mr. Right!  I always say that Walmart provides everything, even husbands! ;)  You ask, why is this a greatest accomplishment?  Because, I love being married and being able to spend the rest of my life with him!

4. My daughter! Growing up, I always knew that I wanted to be a mom. I thought that I would be married by 22, have my first kid at 25 and so on. Well, God had different plans for my life. I didn't meet Mr. Right, until I was 22 and we didn't get married until a few months before I turned 26 and then our daughter wasn't born until I was almost 29!   She is the best thing that every happened to me (besides her dad and her brother, see number 3 and 5)!  I am blessed with a beautiful 6 year old little girl who calls me Mommy!

5. My son! I always knew that I wanted to have my kids about two years apart, so when our daughter turned two, our family started asking when the next one was coming! Well, one month after our daughter turned three, our son was born (a month early).  We are so blessed to have a girl and a boy!  My boisterous three year old Tonka tough boy! I love my Bubba to pieces and am so happy to be his mommy!

If you were an animal, what would you be and why?

Blogging Challenge Day 15: If you were an animal, what would you be and why?

I find this challenge a bit on the odd side. LOL! So here goes nothing....

If I was an animal, what would I be?
I would be a lioness.

And why?
She is queen of the jungle and I am queen of our home! Enough said! ;)

Happy 4th of July!
